THE BEST PROTECTION AGAINST CORROSION IS PREVENTION.
All corrosion problems on underwater hull are avoidable if correct cathodic protection is applied. The problem is that there are many factors beyond our control that can neutralize protection and cause serious corrosion in your boat. To avoid them, the best solution is to continuously monitor the state of cathodic protection. With our device, if for any reason the level of protection in not the adequate, the user would receive a warning text message in their mobile phone detecting and showing what is the problem and you can get ahead with its consequences.
Continuously monitor the state of cathodic protection
It detects the possible influence of neighbouring ships and allows to disconnect the vessel from the shore power with the mobile phone.
Check Power supply from port (220 V or 110 V)
Check the voltage of up to 3 battery banks
Control the presence of water in the bilge
Open / close up to 3 switches with you mobile
Control and connection via mobile
Protection during connection to shore power
When connecting our boat to the shore power we can affect the ship’s cathodic protection. These problems come from the earth wire, which is necessary for the safety of the people, but can generate serious problems to our boat as each boat is connected electrically amongst them.
Excessive consumption of anodes and premature degradation of underwater metal parts of the boat, such as propellers, shafts, rudders, bottom taps, etc. are all too common when connecting our boat to the shore power.
Fortunately, IDN solves this problem with its galvanic port protection systems, easy-to-install and fully-secure, that will protect you from potential problems arising from your boat's electrical connection to shore power.
This device creates a 2-volt potential barrier (higher than usual) that prevents the passage of harmful currents through the ground wire without affecting its functionality.
In the event of a current leakage that could affect our ship, IDN control system would detect it and send an alarm to the user´s mobile phone, allowing to disconnect the boat from the mains and therefore, eliminating the origin of the problem, just with the mobile phone.
These transformers separate more´s ground from the boat, eliminating the source of the problem.

Active protection: Impressed current
If you want to forget about annual maintenance of anodes and obtain more efficient protection and adaptable to your boat´s needs, we recommend you to install an impressed current cathodic protection system.
Through a non-consumable current dispersing electrode, it is possible to apply the needed current protection with the advantage of being able to adjust the current of protection to the real needs of your boat maintaining control over the protection parameters.
IDN works with two sizes of system to adjust our devices to your boat´s needs. PRO 3 equipment allows to protect smaller boats while PRO 10 is designed for bigger boats.
To select the equipment that best suits the needs of your boat, IDN performs an individualized study to determinate which protection needs your boat. To obtain a non-binding quote, please fill out the form below and we will get in touch with you as soon as possible.
